 Hannah Ralston (or Hannah Heywood Ralston) was born around 1804, Maybole, Ayrshire, and married in Ayrshire around 1820 William Anderson Wyllie, born Ayrshire around 1803. Hannah died before her husband who was living and aged 77 in 1881, a factor and JP. When the 1841 census was taken, with the family at Ladyburn, Kirkmichael, Ayrshire was a Mrs Ralston, independent, aged 60 (thus born around 1781). If this is Hannah’s mother, Sarah Hutchison, said to have been born 1777, the details don’t tally. Hannah and William had five children, two of whom went to New Zealand sometime.
