I don't know much about David but hope to find out more as a matter of priority.

He married in the Baptist Tabernacle, Launceston.

He died in 1860 aged 24yrs. Source: Evandale St Andrews Presbyterian Cemetery. A death notice in the Examiner (26/04/1860) announced ,"David Ralston Jnr at Launceston on 26th April, aged 24 years. Funeral from Mrs Hopkins, Brisbane St on Sunday 2 PM."
David died one year after his marriage and birth of his only child Alexander. Catherine died less than a decade later. A death notice in the Examiner (21/07/1868) announced ,"Catherine Wingate, Relic of the late David Ralston Jrn - 38 years at Bromfield, West Tamar, on the 18th July. Funeral will leave Bromfield at 2pm and be at the South Esk Bridge at 3 pm on Tuesday (This day), William Hills - Undertaker. "
